Altypist for practices, firms and clinics

Volume licensing · 20 to 100 seats

Dictation for an organisation where the words are not yours to share. Recognition runs on each Mac; nothing is uploaded, so no vendor ever holds your clients' words.

The short version for a buyer. Bought once, not rented. Deployed by MDM with the licence pushed in a configuration profile, so nobody types a key. No accounts to provision or deprovision. And no Business Associate Agreement to negotiate over the dictation itself, because we never receive it — there is no processor of that content to contract with. For the administrative remainder, a licence key and a hashed device id, we have a DPA ready to sign.

One-time, in USD. Updates within the major version included. A seat is a Mac, and it can be moved between machines whenever someone changes computer or leaves.

For comparison, sixty seats of a per-user cloud dictation subscription runs from roughly $5,760 to $21,600 a year, at the $8–30 per user per month those services publish. Altypist at sixty seats is $1,080, once.

Cloud figures are the publicly listed per-user rates of comparable dictation services in July 2026, taken from their own pricing pages.

Try it before any of this

Every copy has a 7-day trial with all features, no card and no account. Put it on two or three Macs in the team that would use it most, and pull the network cable during the trial — that single test answers the question the rest of this page is about.
